1. Who We Are
SNF Capital (“SNF Capital”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a Malaysia-registered licensed moneylender (Business Registration No. 0221521H / 199101011209) operating under the Moneylenders Act 1951. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in accordance with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”) and its subsidiary regulations.
2. Scope of This Policy
This policy covers personal data collected through this website (snf-capital.com), email correspondence, phone calls, and any documents you submit during your loan application journey with SNF Capital.
3. Personal Data We Collect
When you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of data:
- Applicant identity: full name (as per IC), IC number (collected only after phone verification), contact phone number, email address.
- Business information: SSM registration number, company name, business type / industry, years in operation, monthly revenue range.
- Loan request: product type, requested amount, purpose of loan, and any notes you provide.
- Supporting documents (collected offline after phone contact): SSM certificate, applicant’s MyKad, business bank statements. These are shared with our officers via secure channels after we have contacted you, not through the website form.
- Technical & usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL, and cookies for site analytics and security.
4. Lawful Basis & Purpose of Use
Your personal data is processed only for:
- Assessing your loan application and creditworthiness under the Moneylenders Act 1951.
- Verifying your identity and preventing fraud, money laundering, and impersonation.
- Communicating with you regarding your application, offer letter, disbursement, and repayment.
- Complying with Malaysian law — including KPKT, LHDN, BNM/AMLA, and PDPA requirements.
- Improving our website performance and customer service (aggregated, anonymised analytics).
- Internal record-keeping and audit purposes.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects without a human licensed officer’s review.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. Your data may be shared only with:
- Our authorised credit assessment officers, credit committee members, and licensed staff.
- Regulators and law enforcement upon lawful request (KPKT, LHDN, BNM, PDRM, Bank Negara Malaysia).
- Legal counsel, auditors, and other professional advisers under written confidentiality obligations.
- IT service providers (hosting, email delivery) under strict data-processing agreements, and only for the technical purposes required.
Personal data is not shared with third-party lenders, marketing companies, or data brokers.
6. Data Storage & Security
All data submitted through the Site is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Applications are stored in a secure database with access limited to authorised SNF Capital personnel. Physical documents you provide to our office are stored under lock and access controls.
We retain records for the minimum period required by Malaysian law — typically seven (7) years from the closure of your loan or the last transaction — after which records are securely destroyed or anonymised.
7. International Data Transfers
Our primary storage is within Malaysia. Some of our IT service providers (for example, email delivery) may process data in secure data centres outside Malaysia. When this occurs, we ensure appropriate contractual safeguards are in place consistent with the PDPA.
8. Your Rights Under PDPA
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (data access request).
- Correct any inaccurate or outdated information.
- Withdraw consent for future processing (subject to legal or contractual obligations that may require us to retain certain data).
- Request deletion of your data (subject to retention requirements above).
- Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at applicationssnfcapital@gmail.com from the same email address you used in your application, or visit our business office in person with valid ID.
9. Cookies & Site Analytics
We use minimal cookies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies: to remember your language preference and to keep the site secure. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
- Analytics cookies: to understand how visitors use the site (page views, drop-off points). These are aggregated and do not personally identify you.
We do not embed third-party advertising trackers or data brokers on this Site. You may choose “Only essentials” on the cookie banner to disable analytics.
10. How We Contact You (and How To Spot Impersonators)
Our official written offer letter is always sent from an email address we confirm with you during your first call. Our licensed officers may also contact you by phone or messaging apps to clarify application details.
We will never ask you to (a) transfer money to a personal account, (b) pay upfront fees before disbursement, or (c) share your MyKad or bank credentials on unofficial channels. If in doubt about who is reaching out, verify by emailing us at applicationssnfcapital@gmail.com before sharing any personal data.
11. Children
This Site and our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
